Privacy policy
This policy covers the CodingTeading website (codingteading.com) and the first-generation Scratch for Children app. The other services handle things differently and keep their own policies — see section 5 below.

1. What we do not collect
This website does none of the following.
- There is no sign-up and no login. Accounts do not exist here.
- We do not take names, dates of birth, contact details, addresses or payment information. There is no field to enter them in.
- We do not use visitor analytics (Google Analytics or anything like it).
- We carry no advertising and use no advertising identifiers.
- We do not set cookies.
2. What stays on your device
To remember your display preferences, two values are kept in browser storage (localStorage). They are never sent to a server and never leave the device.

3. Requests that leave the page
Every web page reaches out to a few places as it loads. For this site, that list is complete below.

Once you follow a link out — to an app store, a bookshop or one of our services — that destination's own privacy policy takes over.
4. Email
Mail sent to [email protected] is kept in Gmail. We read and use it only as far as answering requires, and delete it once the matter is closed. If you ask us to delete it, we will.

Scratch for Children (1st generation) app
This policy applies unchanged to the first-generation Scratch for Children app on the web, Android, iOS and Windows. There is no sign-up and no login, and no analytics or advertising tools are used. What a child makes is stored only on that device and is never uploaded to a server.
6. Children under 14
CodingTeading builds education programs for children, so this website was designed from the outset not to collect children's personal information. There is no sign-up, and nowhere for a child to enter anything. We do not identify or profile children, and we do not run advertising aimed at them.
7. Your rights
Anyone may ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the processing of their personal information. In practice this website holds none, so the only thing there is to act on is email correspondence. Write to the address below and we will deal with it without delay.

9. If this policy changes
Any change is announced on this page from seven days before it takes effect. Significant changes that disadvantage users are announced 30 days ahead. If you would like to see a previous version, please ask.
